A new sandwich shop in Telford Shopping Centre has created up to 15 new jobs..
Subway, which has stores in Wellington and Oakengates, opened its first store in the shopping centre last week.
The shop on Southwater has already seen the recruitment of 12 new members of staff but Jeremy Merckel, centre manager said it could be up to 15 in the near future.
Gurpreet Cooner, manager and co-franchisee said: “The opening comes after months of hard work, preparation and anticipation, but it’s really exciting to now be open for business.
Chris Jones, centre director, added: “We’re constantly looking to offer visitors to Telford Shopping Centre more choice and more variety.
“Subway joins Bada Bing, the bar recently opened near Marks and Spencer, as a welcome addition to our food and drink offering.
“These are exciting times for Telford and these openings are indicative of the strong demand we’re seeing from occupiers and tenants for space in the centre.”
