This week local anglers will be sorry to hear about the passing of Bert Howell, a long serving secretary of Avenue AC and member of Telford Disabled AC.
Bert was on a week’s break with friends at Burnham On Sea enjoying fishing and was just returning to his caravan when he was struck down by a heart attack and could not be saved.
Bert worked tirelessly for Avenue AC but suffered a lot from heart problems and was under treatment at the PRH.
The funeral will take place at Telford Crematorium on Friday, September 19 at 12 noon. Our thoughts are with Bert’s family.
