Green fingers at Apley Wood

A Telford primary school has launched an allotment project in a bid to get its pupils growing their own greens and learning more about fresh fruit and veg.

The project was the concept of pupils at Apley Wood Primary School who were keen to start growing their own produce. The allotment is now complete and pupils are ready to get green-fingered and start planting.

Local people are encouraged to support the project by collecting Let’s Grow reward vouchers from their local Morrisons store and handing them in at the school’s reception. The school can then redeem the vouchers for free gardening equipment, including everything from seeds and spades to a greenhouse.
