A fourth qualifying round trip to old rivals Northwich Victoria is Telford’s reward for a 2-1 away win against Hendon in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Playing within shouting distance of Wembley Stadium, the Bucks did just enough to progress through to the next round - but they could have made it easier for themselves.
The Bucks started well and looked set for a convincing victory over an ordinary looking Hendon and in fact were two ahead by half time.
But it could have been four or five with a little more composure.
Telford got off to the perfect start when Terry Fearns scored his first goal this season away from the Bucks Head. Lee Vaughan and Liam Blakeman linked up well down the right and Vaughan delivered a perfect cross for Fearns to open the scoring.
Within minutes they should have been further ahead but Brown failed to find the right ball in the box and then Lee Moore had two efforts blocked from inside the six yard box.
Hendon capitalised on Telford’s lack of success and grew in confidence, Brian Haule heading over the bar and Charlie Mapes bending a free kick over the defensive wall to bring a great save out of Ryan Young.
But Telford did get a second before the break to ease some of the pressure and it was Lee Moore who switched flanks to ease his way through a static Hendon defence to shoot past Berkley Lawrencin.
There should have been more goals from Telford, but they backed off and seemed content that the job was already done.
The home side got their reward in the dying seconds when they were awarded a penalty.
The referee adjudged rather harshly that Indy Khela had handled a shot when in fact it appeard to hit him full in the face.
Haule scored but almost immediately the final whistle went.
A bonus for Telford was that Jimmy Turner got some more match time in his rehabilitation.
