There were mixed fortunes for two local teams in the Angling Times Shropshire Winter League but this still does not alter their standings in the league tables.
On the day Rod & Gun managed third place overall with two section winners and Oakengates Angling Supplies were fourth with one section win.
For Rod & Gun: D Section - D Brown 32-0-0 (Heron Pool), H Section - S Doodson 25-4-0 (Abbey).
For Oakengates: F Section - G Emlyn 34-4-0 (Kingfisher), so Oakengates have 14 points in third, Rod & Gun have 17 points in fifth.

T.A.A Fund Open - Holmer Lake - Saturday: The venue fished a lot better this week with three good weights and the Gold Peg going yet again. In first from Peg 14 was Dave Ridgeway with 16lbs 6ozs.
In second place was Pete Moss (Rod & Gun) on Peg 4 with 111lbs 3ozs and third was Lee Martin (Glynwed) on Peg 6 with 9lbs 4ozs.
