A Royal morale boost for workers

Telford workers are looking forward to their first Royal visitor next month  as a welcome morale boost in the current climate.

The Earl of Wessex is due to visit DENSO Manufacturing on March 25 and plant bosses are already planning his itinerary.

He will be welcomed at the plant by Mr Henry Suzuki, the plant managing director, and shown some of the cutting-edge production methods at the plant.

He will also meet some of the plants associates who have been with the company since it began 14 years ago.

Mr Suzuki said: “I look forward to welcoming His Royal Highness and showing him the efforts we are taking to tackle the difficult situation the automotive industry faces at the moment. The visit will be a welcome morale boost for all our associates.”

Mr Simon Brooks, human resources manager, said: “We have never had a royal visitor before.”
