The Mayor of Telford & Wrekin has been rubbing shoulders with celebrities this week to help raise awareness for her charity appeal.
Councillor Karen Blundell met with Big Brother contestant Kris Donnelly at Telford Town Centre on Tuesday to launch a Christmas Glamour evening held next month.
The event, on November 10, will raise cash for the Mayor’s chairty - Fit for the Future.
Councillor Blundell said: “We would like to promote a beauty evening being held on the November 10 at the House of Fraser where half of the ticket entrance fee will go to my charity appeal.
“Apparently Kris does a lot of charity work and he is happy to come along and promote the beauty evening which is being held at the House of Fraser.
“He is a very busy man but he made time to come and support my charity.”
Chris Jones, centre director: “We are aware that many of the Centre’s retailers support both local and national charities and we encourage as much activity of this nature as possible.
“We’re very happy that House of Fraser is supporting such a good cause and wish the Mayor every success with her fund appeal.”
Tickets for the November event cost £5 and are available from House of Fraser.
