He’s behind you…

The stars are coming out in Oakengates for the opening night of this year’s pantomime -  Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Getting ready for Snow White at the Place at Oakegates Theatre, are from left, Jessica Thomas, who plays the Woodland Fairy, Victoria Scott, who plays Snow White and Callum Mcardle, who plays Prince Richard.People feeling festive are being invited to The Place for this year’s Paul Holman pantomime.

The show promises to be a lot of fun with stars including Kay Purcell, from Emmerdale, Holby City and the new series of Tracy Beaker Returns, who plays the wicked Queen.

Kay, who will be singing a panto version of Lady Ga Ga’s hit Poker Face, said: “Pantomimes are a lot of fun.

“I have worked with Paul Holman before and I loved doing it the show.

“This year I think as a cast we all work together well and I hope people enjoy the show.”

Snow White, played by Victoria Scott, is encouraging people to come and see the show.

“I am looking forward to the performance and it is a really lovely cast,” she said.

“The panto is full of life and just fun family entertainment.”

Callum McArdle, plays the handsome Prince Richard and Snow White runs from today until January 3.
