Eight Telford Hip Hop dancers have been strutting their stuff on national television in a bid to win the top prize of £100,000.
Teenagers in dance group DNA took part in televised auditions on the Sky1 show Got To Dance hosted by Davina McCall.
DNA members Tanita Guthrie aged 19, James Brown , aged 18, Ashleigh Griffiths, aged 19, Jordan Dyal, aged 18, Kirsten Eagle aged 18, Natalie Edwards aged 17, Gabrielle Dumas, aged 17 and Chanelle Green aged 16 have been battling dancers from across the country with their hip hop routine to be in with a chance of winning the cash.
The group’s founder and main choreographer Dee Spencer said: “The live auditions were amazing and it was the first time DNA performed on national television.
“They loved it and Davina loved them. She thought they were fantastic. She said hi and had photographs taken with them.
“They were at the studio all day from 10am, until 6pm in Manchester.” Dee said the dance routine had taken a lot of time and thought to create.
If the group win the prize money will be shared it out and used to give something back to the community.
Got to Dance is aired on Sundays at 6pm. and the winner will be selected by the viewing public later in the year.
DNA rehearse at Fitness First at Stafford Park in Telford, on Sundays from 4pm.
