The night will see women treated to live band Still Rock’n and a disco.

“I am having the ladies night for Macmillan Cancer Relief to raise money for them,” said Mr Worthing.

“I chose Macmillan because cancer affects one in four people.

“I lost my mum when she was 49 and I have lost friends.

“Macmillan Cancer Relief looked after my mum when we found out.”

Mr Worthing decided to put on the event to give women a fun night out and said women are ‘very generous.’

The event is being held at the Cordingley Hall in Donnington on February 6 from 7.30pm.

Mr Worthing has been collecting money for the last six months to take part in a sponsored Macmillan Cancer Relief Sahara Hike Challenge -which was a 100km trek across the desert – which he will be taking part in next month.
