Wrekin Road Runners (WRR) are hosting their first road race and supporting fun run of 2010 in Telford Town Park this Sunday, Valentine’s Day.
The Ennstone seven miler and a one-and-a-half mile fun run will start and finish in the park’s arena, and take runners along the traffic-free Silkin Way.
The fun run starts at 10.40am and the main race at 11am.
Registration for both opens at 9.30am in the Cresda Bar at Telford Ice Rink, the home of WRR, and closes at 10.30am. Both races are fully marshalled and signed, with paramedics
Entry is £8 on the day for club runners and £10 unattached.
Entry to the fun run costs £3 for under-16s and £3.50 for adults.
All race finishers will receive a memento and hot
Prizes will go to the first five senior men and first three senior ladies, as well as the usual veteran prizes.
Results will be available on the day or by post, and there will be an award ceremony at a around 1pm in the Cresda Bar. Children under the age of eight taking part in the fun run must have a parent or guardian with them.
