Telford ready for Hyde test

AFC Telford United travel to Hyde United this weekend in search of three points to get their promotion challenge back on track.

A 0-0 draw at home to Solihull Moors last Saturday leaves the Bucks in seventh place.

And although Telford are only out of the top five on goal difference, they have played more games than most of the sides around them.

After an even first half against Solihull, Telford had enough possession in the second period to win the game but lacked the cutting edge to break down the visitors’ defence.

Despite a red card for Moors full back Ryan Amoo in the final 10 minutes – for raising his hands at Liam Blakeman - the Bucks couldn’t find a winner.

Meanwhile midfielder Chris Nurse has left the club to join Puerto Rico Islanders in the new USSF D2 Pro League.
