Twice as good for Mother’s Day

Creative youngsters at a Telford school have been cutting and sticking to make bright cards for Mother’s Day.

Brothers Daniel, left and Jack Talbot, both six with their cards.Pupils from the Captain Webb Primary in Dawley have been making the cards and will invite the special ladies to the school’s first Mother’s Day lunch tomorrow.

Roy Harris, year two class teacher, said: “We are having a mother’s day dinner at the school where mothers, grandmothers and anyone special to the children will be invited.

“There will be gateaux and heart shaped biscuits.”

Teaching assistant Zoe Lewis helped the children design the cards.
