Raising cash for Macmillan

There will be song, laughter, craic and fundraising in Oakengates when the Claddagh celebrates St Patrick’s Day.

The Claddagh Pub in Oakengates is getting ready for St Patricks Day.  Seen here ar Todd Brady, Billy walker, Grant Andrews, Jamie Griffths, Clare Taylor and regular Doug Wallace.Everyone is invited along to a 24 hour party at the pub on Sunday from 12pm, to help them raise some much-needed cash for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event will see a Madonna tribute, an Irish singer, kangaroo boxing and sponsored waxing and piercing.

The Shamrock kitchen will also have its grand opening.

Landlady Mrs Patricia Walker said: “Here at The Claddagh we are dedicated to raising money for Macmillan Cancer Research. It is something we do every year for Macmillan and we hope to raise as much money as we can.

“Hopefully it will go on for 24 hours. It depends on how long people can last.”
